The weather here in Elephant Butte has been nice, as usual, with cool nights [great for sleeping!] and pleasant temperatures during the day. The tours out into the desert have been enjoyed by many, with more trips to follow.

Local Area News:
Sierra County — (as stated by our local paper the Sentinel) — The record crowds at Elephant Butte Lake were treated to inarguably the best fireworks show in the 17 years that StarFire Pyrotechnics has been producing the July 4 display at the state park. Beginning with what many thought was the grand finalé, the show continued for another 20 minutes with fantastic aerials and booming concussion bursts. The actual finalé was an impressive spectacle that certainly rivaled any in the state.
